Srere Women's Care Fund

A call for grant applications that assist women
and infant needs

Sinai-Grace Hospital is now accepting grant applications until Dec. 1, from community organizations through its Srere Women’s Care Fund (SWCF), an endowed grant program associated with the hospital’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The funding is open to all non profit organizations for programs that service the healthcare and social welfare needs of women and infants in the northwest region. Approximately $50,000 will be available annually to fund several small one-year grants.

“We are very happy to offer grants to worthy organizations that share Sinai-Grace’s commitment to address the healthcare needs of women and children who are vulnerable or at-risk,” said Bernard Gonik, M.D., chairman of the SWCF Committee at Sinai-Grace Hospital.

Since the Srere Women’s Fund Grant Program’s inception in 1998, Sinai-Grace Hospital has awarded 43 grants, totaling over a quarter million dollars in grant funding for community outreach programs.

Completed applications must be received by December 1, 2007 and applicants will be expected to give a presentation of their proposal in January 2008. Following presentation and committee review, awardees will be notified during after January, 2008.
