Need another reason to
become involved in a cardiac rehabilitation program? The
American Heart Association considers lack of regular exercise a
primary risk factor for heart disease, along with smoking, high
blood pressure and high blood cholesterol. Also, studies
show that patients who participate in a comprehensive cardiac
rehabilitation program after a heart attack have a lower risk of
a future fatal heart attack compared to those who did not attend
a cardiac rehabilitation program.
