Heart disease, also referred to as cardiovascular or coronary artery disease,
is a disease of the heart's blood vessels. The diagnosis of heart disease
often brings with it questions, concerns and fears. Cardiac Rehabilitation, or
Cardiac Rehab, is designed to provide a resource to answer those questions, help
you make appropriate lifestyle changes and increase your cardiovascular fitness
level in order to maintain a healthier heart. Active involvement in
rehabilitation efforts may slow the progressive nature of heart disease.
Education is the Key to a Change of Heart
Who is a Good Candidate?
DMC Cardiac Rehab programs offer the latest, most successful advances in
therapy to patients who:

- Have undergone heart surgery
- Myocardial Infarction
- Cardiomyopathy

Almost all patients with heart disease will benefit from either the education
