Primarily the DMC CPE programs serve a hospital population, but students are also placed in community service agencies. CPE training offered under the auspices of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education In., Decatur, GA (ACPE). It is training that meets the rigorous standards of this national accrediting agency whose mission it is to foster experienced-based theological education grounded in a person-centered approach to religious/spiritual ministry. It combines the practice of pastoral care with qualified supervision, peer group reflection and access to a variety of learning resources and interdisciplinary relationships.
