Patient Information
We are pleased that you and your doctor have scheduled you for surgery at the Berry Surgery Center, which is affiliated with Sinai-Grace Hospital. If we can answer any questions or help in any way, call us at 248-851-6767.
We are located at 28500 Orchard Lake Road, on the east side of the road between 12 and 13 Mile Roads. Convenient, free parking and wheelchair access are available. Let us know if you would like a tour prior to your day of surgery.
Please read carefully and follow the instructions provided in this brochure to avoid any delays. If you have questions, ask your surgeon or call us at 248-851-6767. We are open between the hours of 6 a.m. and early evening until our last patient is discharged.
Surgical Screening
When your doctor schedules your surgery, a registered nurse anesthetist or preoperative nurse will call you during daytime hours to interview you regarding your medical history for physician review. The nurse will need to know the name of the medications that you take including herbal remedies. If you have had a recent EKG, the nurse will contact your primary physician for a copy. At that time, the nurse will give you instructions about how to prepare for surgery and how to care for yourself afterward.
Berry Surgery Center admitting staff will complete your preregistration packet that will include your insurance verification. This information will be included in your personal chart.
